How to Get an Axe in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

After starting up a new save file and choosing a place to live, players will eventually be able to enter the Resident Services tent in the middle of the island at the town plaza. At first, this will be a small green tent, but it will eventually turn into a full-fledged building as the game progresses. Tom Nook will be inside, next to a crafting table. If players speak to him, an option will appear that says, “I found a Creature.” If players have caught at least two different types of creatures, they can give it to Tom Nook, and he will give it to his friend, Blathers.

Once two different critters have been donated to Tom Nook, he will send the player several DIY recipes that require wood, including one for an axe. The two creatures cannot be duplicates. Players can donate two types of fish, or a bug and a fish, or even two bugs; it doesn’t matter which ones they are, as long as they’re unique.

Now that the player has the recipe, they can create the axe at the crafting table, as long as they have five tree branches and one stone. To get tree branches, players need to go around the island and shake a couple of trees with the A button. Players will need to find rocks on the island and hit them with a shovel or an axe for stones.

How to Get Gold Axe

To get the golden axe in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players will need to have broken a total of 100 axes, and then the recipe for the golden axe will be available. After that, players will need to find a Golden Nugget and combine it with a regular axe at a crafting table.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available for the Nintendo Switch.
