Eggs are an important resource in Cozy Grove, however, they are hard to stock up on since they are fairly rare. They are used primarily in food or for completing quests. While they can be sold or donated to Captain Snout for some extra coins when in a pinch, players should try to stock up on them that way they are prepared for any quest that comes up in the future.

Harvesting

Players will gradually learn that there are animals in the game that Scouts can buy and adopt as pets, placing them around their campground. When feeding animals, players will be able to collect their spirit essence, and depending on how happy Scouts can make these animals, the animals can produce a specific type of essence. While each animal has its own essence, they also produce specific rewards depending on their type. For example, deer produce onions, rodents produce cocoa beans, and birds produce eggs.

But getting pets to a happiness level where they’ll likely drop an egg can be difficult. Birds need to have all three hearts for an egg to drop, which will take some time. Every animal has a list of likes and dislikes, so providing a comfortable home for the pet is the first step to earning some hearts. Since most decorations and harvestable plants have tags, players will want to make sure that their pet is surrounded by the tags that they enjoy, while keeping their distance from any tags they don’t like. This can be a tedious process, but it is worth it in the end.

Every day, a pet will ask for something to eat. Thankfully, there will be a speech bubble over the pet’s head to indicate what it wants, so players won’t have to guess. After grabbing the specific food, Scouts will be able to walk up to it, interact with it, and feed it. The bird will then munch down on its food and produce spirit essence. The happier the bird, the more essence it will produce along with an egg. All pets have three maturity levels, starting young, then leveling to an adult, and finally as mature. The higher the maturity, the more resources they will give to Scouts. So, make sure to check in with pets every day to collect eggs and essence.

Another tip to help optimize animals’ happiness is to use safe spaces. As Scouts level up in the game, they will start to unlock ‘safe spaces’ scattered around the island. There is a total of six that can be unlocked. These spaces, once fully lit, can be filled with trees, bushes, decorations, and pets. Sorting out areas for specific tags could be helpful to make sure every pet is the happiest.

Mr. Kit

There are two stores that Scouts can purchase eggs from. One is the main shop, Mr. Kit’s. After players purchase the first upgrade to his shop, Kit will begin to sell one egg per day. While this is not the best way to acquire eggs, it does help if players are in a pinch for a certain quest or recipe that only requires one single egg.

Pandam

The best source for purchasing eggs is by waiting for Pandam. They only arrive on Wednesdays to sell eggs along with a few other resources, including decorations. This is one of the better reliable sources where players can stock up on a decent amount of eggs, however, will have to fork up a decent amount of money for them.

Pandam’s pop-up shop usually has two stacks of six eggs that average about 650 coins, while six boiled eggs are closure to the 8,000 coin range. For one deviled egg, Scouts will have to spend a little over 16,000 coins. That being said, while Pandam is a great tool for players who have the money to spend for easy eggs, there are better ways to stock up on without spending all the hard-earned coins.
