Developer Blizzard is aware of this, and wants to try to make things right all that it can. In a recent blog, the team lined out some of the emergent problems the Overwatch 2 team is trying to iron out and offered an apology for those affected by them. But the developer isn’t stopping there in an effort to improve things for its loyal player base.

Overwatch 2 players will first be able to participate in a number of Double Match XP weekends, with specific dates forthcoming. All players will also be eligible to receive a new free Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin and a Health Pack Weapon Charm. Looking to add them to your collection?

We’ve got the rundown on how you can get the new free Reaper Legendary skin in Overwatch 2.

How to Get Free Overwatch 2 Legendary Reaper Skin

The free Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin is available for all Overwatch 2 players. All you need to do to be eligible to receive it is log into your Overwatch 2 account from October 25 all the way through the end of Season One, which ends on December 6, 2022. It will automatically be added to your collection of Reaper cosmetics.

In addition to the Legendary skin, you’ll also get a special Health Pack Weapon Charm. Both will be available to you to customize Reaper with if you log in during the appointed time window. Blizzard has not announced any further rewards at this time as apologies for all the issues the game has been having, but additional XP and goodies like cosmetic items outside of the game’s Battle Pass are a good start.

Hopefully the recurring problems the game has experienced as of late will be on the mend soon enough. But given that there are still regular server issues, you can be proactive about seeing if the Overwatch 2 servers are down before trying to log on so you can plan to play something else if you can’t access the game.

Overwatch 2 is available now on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
