1. Dark Mode

MacOS Mojave finally brings the most awaited feature of dark mode, and unlike the previous time, the current dark mode is useful and mesmerizing.

If you want this amazing dark shade on your Windows, you will just have to adjust enable it on as it already has this feature.

Here’s how you can do this:

Open the Windows setting by pressing the windows button on the keyboard plus ‘I’.

This will take you to settings, now select personalization Head over to colors and select the dark mode to enable it

Now, all the apps will be in dark mode but not the start menu and taskbar, but you can just select the darkest color to match the mode

2. Stacks

If your desktop is always a mess with every type of file just stacked up there, then you will just love this feature. When you enable stack, all the files of one nature are sorted and stacked up in one folder like all PDF documents in one folder. It is better and easy as you just have to click on the stack to see all the files and click again for collapsing it into one folder.

Firstly, you will have to download a third-party app ‘Fences’ which is free for 30 days and paid for afterward. Get it from here.

Once done with the installation and other formalities, it will sort the similar files in one folder.

Note: – It won’t look exactly as the stack feature of MacOS Mojave, but it does the clean the desktop up space nicely.

3. Quick Look

This is easily my favorite feature as it lets me have a quick look at a video or document and go through its content without opening it in particular software.

Download the free app “quick look” from the stores of Microsoft. Click here to download the app

Once downloaded, just click on the image, file or video that you want to get a quick look at and press ‘Space’. This will open it in quick look for you to check it at flash speed.

4. Finder Features

Apple has updated its finder’s feature that includes gallery view, quick action etc. but most of are unaware that these features are already there in Windows.

Here’s how you can get this for Windows 10

Go to the view tab on the explorer and enable the ‘preview pane’ to get a gallery view of things. If you want the sidebar to check out the metadata, just enable the ‘Details pane’ on the view tab. The quick action mode is a bit difficult for every item, but you can get the rotate on/off or set as a desktop background option the explorer.

5. Screenshot feature

Apple latest update has brought a screenshot tool that lets people take a screenshot and edit it right there. Before users used keyboard shortcuts to take a screenshot, but now you can do it with screenshot hub.
