Halo Infinite brings new and controversial changes to the Halo formula, but with these shifts come new ways for the developers to include achievements. From hidden collectibles to optional mini-boss fights, the variation in achievements in Halo Infinite’s campaign is large.
10 “Bring Shiela Home Safely”
The achievement “Bring Shiela Home Safely” will require players to transport a Scorpion Tank named “Shiela” from the start of Mission 13: The Road to the endpoint without blowing it up. The road that players will need to travel along is full of Banished soldiers, punishing turrets, and enemy vehicles. Players will need to travel the entire expanse of the road without blowing Shiela up in order to get the achievement.
This achievement is not so difficult to obtain on lower-difficulty playthroughs, but it can be a real struggle on heroic or legendary. The easiest way to get the achievement is for players to take their time, making sure to take out as many enemies as possible from long-range. Shiela doesn’t have much maneuverability, which can make avoiding enemy attacks difficult. Taking enemies out before they have a chance to attack is the safest way to progress down the road.
9 “Know Your Enemy”
The “Know Your Enemy” achievement requires players to collect all Banished Audio Logs scattered across Zeta Halo. Many Banished Audio Logs can be found at Banished Outposts that are found throughout the campaign. Collecting them all isn’t an enormous feat if someone intentionally keeps their eyes out for the audio logs, but there are some that are easy to miss or entirely missable, causing players to start a new campaign in order to complete this achievement.
Banished Audio Logs in Halo Infinite give players background and insight into the motives and running of the Banished. Collecting them all is well worth the trouble. Being vigilant and getting audio logs as the campaign progresses is just the way to follow through on this achievement. Before moving on to a new mission or island, players should be sure that they have all of the Banished Audio Logs in the area.
8 “Canon Collector”
The “Canon Collector” achievement asks players to collect all of the UNSC Audio Logs on Zeta Halo. The UNSC Audio Logs vastly outnumber the Banished Audio Logs, making this achievement more difficult over the course of the game. The UNSC Audio Logs give players huge amounts of lore and fill them in on what was happening shortly before the campaign of Halo Infinite.

The UNSC Audio Logs can be found in many places around Zeta Halo. Each Forward Operating Base houses at least one audio log and most others can be found at Banished Outposts or through the main campaign progression. Make sure to obtain all UNSC Audio Logs in each area before progressing to the next. Some of the audio logs are missable, so it is important to get them as they become available.
7 “Off The Air”
The “Off The Air” achievement requires players to take out all of the Banished Propaganda Towers on Zeta Halo. The Banished employ propaganda towers across Zeta Halo to dampen any remaining hope surviving UNSC Marines have of winning the war. Some of the most memorable dialogue in Halo Infinite comes from the Grunt announcer in charge of the propaganda towers, so players should be sure to take a listen before destroying them quickly.
The most challenging part of this achievement is simply locating all of the propaganda towers. Many can be found by traveling across Zeta Halo during the main campaign or as players tick off their side objectives, but others are off the beaten path and won’t be as obvious. There are 40 Banished Propaganda Towers in total, so if players are missing any towards the end of the game, they should fly around the map with an airborne vehicle like a Banshee or Wasp and keep a close eye on the surface of Zeta Halo.
6 “Bloodstars’ Bane”
The “Bloodstars’ Bane” achievement instructs players to defeat all of the UNSC’s High-Value Targets. These targets are some of the deadliest enemies the UNSC has ever encountered, so defeating them all is no easy feat. Each HVT also uses its own unique weapons with special perks to its use. This makes defeating them more difficult than normal Banished soldiers, but upon doing so, players will gain access to their unique weapon at any FOB’s weapon table.
Each High-Value Target has its own difficulties associated with them, and players will need to strategize the best way to take out each one. On higher difficulties, players will not only have to take out the HVT but also the squad of Banished soldiers surrounding them.
5 “Who Is Max Valor?”
The “Who Is Max Valor?” achievement requires players to complete all Valor awarding activities across Zeta Halo. Valor is awarded to players in many ways: by taking back Foward Operating Bases, defeating High-Value Targets, destroying Banished Propaganda Towers, taking Banished Outposts, and by completing main story missions. Players must complete all of these side objectives to get this achievement.

The sheer quantity of side objectives that players will need to complete before the achievement is ticked can be overwhelming. Complete all of the side objectives in each area before progressing to the next to stay on top of the achievement before completing the main campaign.
4 “Forza Veloce”
The “Forza Veloce” achievement asks players to complete all 14 of the main story missions in under 8 hours. The main story missions can be difficult with the addition of bosses giving some players trouble, and completing them quickly can be a hassle.
If players don’t get this achievement on their first playthrough, they can start a new game on the easy difficulty. At this level, enemies are usually weak enough that players won’t need to tool themselves up with any of the game’s side objectives like Spartan Cores of Valor requisitions in order to progress the story. Even the game’s bosses are pretty manageable in a single playthrough on easy.
3 “Catacomb”
The “Catacomb” achievement will require players to find all hidden skulls around Zeta Halo. Skulls are a staple in the Halo franchise and each one changes a mechanic of the game when activated. Most of the skull’s effects make the game more difficult, so not many players seek them out during a playthrough.
All of the skulls on Zeta Halo are hidden, and some are missable, which will force players to have to start a new playthrough in order to obtain them. As always, complete the collectibles in each area as the game progresses so that none are missed. If players are having trouble finding skulls, guides are always useful in helping to locate them.
2 “A True Test of Legends”
The achievement “A True Test of Legends” will require players to complete the main campaign on legendary difficulty. This is no easy task, as enemies on legendary difficulty have increased health and do more damage to Master Chief. An easy way of obtaining this achievement in past Halo games was to complete the campaign on co-op mode, but since Halo Infinite’s co-op mode has been delayed that is not an option.

Learn which weapons are best against which enemies. Using plasma weapons against shielded enemies or ballistic weapons against vehicles is something that isn’t of massive importance on other difficulties, but these weaknesses should always be exploited on legendary difficulty.
1 “Headmaster”
The “Headmaster” achievement necessitates that players beat the main campaign on legendary difficulty while having all of the skulls enabled. Though it sounds simple enough, this is one of the most difficult achievements in Halo Infinite. The Skulls have a wide range of effects on gameplay, with most of them making the game more difficult. The skulls will increase enemy health, disable radar and health sensors, and increase the radius of explosions, as well as a variety of other things.
This achievement is extremely difficult to obtain, with the one saving grace being the Bandana Skull. The Bandana Skull will afford players unlimited ammo and grenades and also remove cooldown time for equipment. Exploiting this skull in the legendary all skull run is a must.
Halo Infinite was released for the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X on December 8th, 2021.
