When held, the Punching Glove not only powers up punching moves like Fire Punch, Thunder Punch and Ice Punch, but it also keeps the Pokemon from coming in contact with its enemies, removing the possibility of picking up static conditions with each hit.
This makes it exceptionally useful for Fighting-type Pokemon, or even the new Pawmi Pokemon, which is an Electric and Fighting-type combination.
If you’re looking to add the Punching Glove to your arsenal, then we can help. Here’s what you’re going to need to do to get the Punching Glove.
How to Get the Punching Glove
As noted above, the Punching Glove is exceptionally useful, especially for a Held Item, and when given to the right Pokemon, it can literally turn the tide of a battle.
To get your hands on the Punching Glove, you’re going to need to make your way to the Delibird Presents shop in Mesagoza, the central city in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
At this shop, you’ll be able to purchase the Punching Glove item for just 15,000 Poke Dollars, making it much cheaper to acquire than the Clear Amulet, which keeps your Pokemon from picking up stat-lowering effects.
Both of these items can make a huge difference in battles, so make sure to utilize them if you’re wanting to go head-to-head with the strongest trainers in the game.
If you don’t want to pay for the Punching Glove, or if you just want another one, you can also defeat seven trainers in the East Province region. Once done, talk to the Pokemon League representative at the Pokemon Center in East Province Area Three to receive the Punching Glove for your troubles.
Make sure you also have the Amulet Coin if you’re planning on going head-to-head with a lot of trainers, as it will increase the amount of money you make from battles, making it easy to grind up Poke Dollars, which can be useful for buying ingredients needed for sandwich recipes, as well as other important battle items like the Punching Glove.
